Dr Mamta Chauhan appointed Interim Executive Director of eWorks

Dr Mamta Chauhan will become Interim Executive Director of eWorks and its parent company VETASSESS on July 1, following the retirement of Rob Thomason.

Dr Chauhan joined VETASSESS in 2009 and is currently Group Manager, Skills Recognition General Occupations, where she leads the assessment team for professional and other non-trade occupations, which assesses more than 360 occupations.

She is also responsible for VETASSESS’ international operations, including offices in China, India, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

Rob Thomason will leave VETASSESS on June 28 and move to the role of Executive Advisor to Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI), the parent company of VETASSESS. Mr Thomason will continue to have involvement in VETASSESS projects, BKI’s international strategy and BKI projects.

Dr Chauhan earned her PhD at Panjab University in Chandigarh, India and was a university lecturer before migrating to Australia in 2007.

She believes eWorks is critical to address the current and future needs of learning and skills providers both onshore and elsewhere, as life-long learning increasingly relies on technology for delivery.

“I am excited to lead VETASSESS and eWorks during a phase of significant business transformation and looking forward to working with the great teams at VETASSESS/eWorks as we navigate the constantly evolving space of skilled migration, life-long learning and skills development.”
— Dr Mamta Chauhan
